Under this, information of all the farmers is being collected, so that the government has the horoscope (details) of every farmer. Collectors have been instructed to ensure that all farmers are registered in this registry.
Every farmer will be given a unique identification (ID) so that they can be identified and they can easily get the benefits of agricultural schemes of the central and state government. Apart from this, the government will also be able to know how much land a farmer has and whether that land is irrigated or non-irrigated.
These benefits will be available after Kisan Registry
The Agriculture Department has issued instructions to all the districts to complete the “Kisan Registry” process by 30 November 2024. Under this, it will be mandatory for the farmers to register by November 30, as the government has made it clear that from December 2024, the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana will be given only through Kisan ID. The government believes that with this registry, the implementation of departmental schemes in the interest of farmers will be done in a transparent manner, so that all the farmers can easily get the benefits of the schemes.
This is how registration will be done
- Registration of Kisan Registry will be done through https://agristack.gov.in portal.
- For this registration, Patwari, youth and farmers have also been given the facility of registration through mobile app.
- Kisan Registry MP Mobile App has been made available for farmers, Kisan Sahayak MP App for local youth.
- In this, work is being done on the basis of data of land records of the state.
- With this, information about the land of the farmer in every village will be available online.
- An amount of Rs 10 will be given to the local youth for creating each Kisan ID.
- Along with completing the work prescribed by the Government of India, Rs 5 will be given to the local youth for adding each additional account.
All the information will be recorded in it
Complete information of the farmers, such as mobile number and bank account information will be recorded in the Kisan Registry. After the registry is ready, if needed, the information of the land owner and account can be extracted by selecting the district, tehsil and village. In this process, e-KYC will also be done by linking all the accounts of the farmers through the app and portal, for which the consent of the farmer will be taken electronically.
The Kisan ID of the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi will be created on priority basis. In this, the Khasra number, share, mobile number, Aadhaar number and e-KYC details of each account holder will be recorded. The Kisan Registry will be automatically updated in case of any change in the land record. Apart from this, the information of the crop recorded in each Khasra under the Digital Crop Survey will also be available in the registry. Landowners can get the Kisan Registry made by paying the prescribed fee through the Common Service Center. Local youth have been identified for this work, who will do the work of making the Kisan Registry as a campaign and they will be paid for this work in the bank account linked to Aadhaar.
The main objective of registration of farmers is that all the farmers of the state can get the benefits of the state government schemes in a transparent and timely manner. Registration will simplify the process of identification and authentication of farmers, which will make it easier to avail the benefits of the schemes. Apart from this, registration will also facilitate farmers in obtaining agricultural loans, financial services and other agricultural services, so that they can get the services quickly and easily.

- The benefit of crop insurance will also be available easily and it will be easy to identify farmers for compensation in case of disaster.
- Farmers can be registered online for purchase at Minimum Support Price (MSP).
- Farmer registry data will be helpful in getting the benefit of government scheme
